Why Get Involved?

For too long the issue of domestic violence has been shrouded in fear, silence, and shame.  Because of this, domestic violence has persisted in our relationships, homes, and communities across boundaries of generations and cultures.  Close to Home is working to change this and we invite you to join us.

We are encouraging all community members–including family, friends, civic leaders, and organizational partners–to play a role in responding to and preventing domestic violence.  Together, we can replace the fear, shame, and stigma that surround domestic violence with connection, conversation, hope and action.

There are many ways for you to get involved!  For more information, please feel free to call Close to Home 617.929.5151.
