Join the Network!

Close to Home is growing a strong community that is working together to prevent domestic violence. This network of local youth, residents, families, friends, neighbors, civic leaders, and organizational partners has made a commitment to both respond to domestic violence when it happens in our neighborhood and work together to develop and implement domestic violence prevention projects. If you are interested in being part of this community, we welcome you!  If you are interested in finding ways to use your skills, interests, and expertise to connect with your neighbors and the civic life our community, and work to prevent violence in our neighborhood, there are many ways to contribute.

For more information on the Network and to discuss additional ideas and opportunities to get involved, we encourage you to call us at 617.929.5151.

You can visit the website sections For Youth, For Residents, or For Community-Based Organizations and Leaders for more information on volunteer teams and projects.  We realize that preventing domestic violence will only be a reality if all community members come together, so we are most thankful for your support, commitment, and action!

What's your tool?

Close to Home believes that the everyday objects that people overlook can be powerful tools to build connections and relationships between people. That is why the 2006 “What’s Your Tool?” Campaign is focused on transforming everyday objects into powerful domestic violence prevention tools.  We are shifting the way people see an everyday cup of coffee or a phone call into opportunities for reaching out to people, building connections, and lending support.
