RESOURCES FOR ORGANIZATIONS
Collaborations with other community leaders and organizations is essential to the work of Close to Home. We believe that making change on the issue of domestic violence requires working with a community’s residents, and also a community’s institutions. To prevent domestic violence and transform social norms, ALL areas of a community need to be engaged. By partnering with local community organizations, we are ensuring that domestic violence remains on the public agenda and information on the issue reaches the maximum number of community members. For information on our local partnerships and community collaborations, please visit the For Community Based Organizations and Leaders section of our website. Additional materials are provided below.

Close to Home believes that the everyday objects that people overlook can be powerful tools to build connections and relationships between people. That is why the 2006 “What’s Your Tool?” Campaign is focused on transforming everyday objects into powerful domestic violence prevention tools. We are shifting the way people see an everyday cup of coffee or a phone call into opportunities for reaching out to people, building connections, and lending support.
